More importantly, it ranked as the week’s top two albums in those categories.<\/p>\n
According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle Music, “MANIA” sold approximately 114,512 pure US copies during the January 19-25 tracking period. The figure ranks as the week’s best pure sales total.<\/p>\n
With TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500) included, “MANIA” debuted with approximately 127,488 in total US consumption units. That figure earns “MANIA” #1 on the “Hits Top 50” consumption chart.<\/p>\n
At the onset of the week, Hits was projecting 105-110,000 in pure sales and 110-115,000 in total consumption.<\/p>\n
Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits and BuzzAngle. The discrepancies should not, however, be big enough to affect the album’s ranking.<\/p>\n
The pure sales total should earn “MANIA” #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales, while the consumption tally should be enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
