Update:<\/b> With more data available, Hits Daily Double<\/a> has upgraded its opening week sales and consumption projections for Camila Cabello’s “Camila.”<\/p>\n

The album is now expected to sell 48-53,000 pure US copies this week. With TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500) included, the album will likely debut with 85-95,000 in overall consumption units.<\/p>\n

The original projections called for 43-48,000 in sales and 75-85,000 in consumption.<\/p>\n

Pure sales inform the Billboard Top Album Sales chart, while consumption drives the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

While specific projections are not yet available, “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack represents the greatest threat to a #1 Billboard 200 bow for “Camila.”<\/p>\n

The album moved just over 100,000 units in each of the past two weeks. It should endure a decline this week, but it remains to be seen if the decline will be large enough to give “Camila” the throne.<\/p>\n

The new 85-95,000 “Camila” projection certainly makes that outcome more likely, however.

Opening week sales projections have emerged for Camila Cabello’s “Camila.”<\/p>\n

They, predictably, reveal that the album will be in the mix for a top two debut on the Billboard Top Album Sales and 200 charts<\/p>\n

Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double expects “Camila” to sell 43-48,000 pure US copies this week.<\/p>\n

With TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500) included, “Camila” should post an opening week consumption tally in the neighborhood of 75-85,000.<\/p>\n

Its prospect of a #1 debut is threatened by the soundtrack to “The Greatest Showman.” The soundtrack did ~68K pure sales and ~101K total units last week.<\/p>\n

The figures will likely fall this week, but given the album’s momentum, it is unclear they will fall by enough to give “Camila” the throne.<\/p>\n

“Camila” should not, however, land lower than #2 on this week’s charts.<\/p>\n

Music fans, bloggers and industry members will surely compare the performance to that of Fifth Harmony’s 2017 self-titled album.
