Episode two of FOX’s “The Four: Battle For Stardom” endured week-over-week losses in adult 18-49 and overall viewership.<\/p>\n
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “The Four” averaged a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and 3.27 million overall viewers from 8-10PM.<\/p>\n
Last week’s premiere drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 3.75 million viewers.<\/p>\n
While last week’s numbers were not bad for a typical TV show in 2018, they were underwhelming for a heavily hyped music competition series. This week’s decline, accordingly, adds to that disappointment.<\/p>\n
Making matters more concerning: the first two episodes of “The Four” did not face original competition from ABC. Beginning next week, the show will air opposite “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8PM and “Scandal” at 9PM.<\/p>\n
“Grey’s” remains one of the highest rated shows on network television. “Scandal” is no longer a ratings powerhouse, but it will still present meaningful competition in the 9PM hour.<\/p>\n
If there is a silver lining to this week’s performance, it is that the show grew its audience at 9PM.
