The initial wave of “Siesta Key” episodes concluded this past October.<\/p>\n
The next wave will commence on Martin Luther King Day.<\/p>\n
MTV announced that its reality series will return at 10PM ET on January 15.<\/p>\n
“Since last summer, Kelsey, Garrett and Juliette are caught in an intense love triangle while Brandon and Madisson\u2019s relationship hits shaky ground,” says MTV regarding the new episodes. “Alex tries to focus on school and Chloe on her family, but they can\u2019t escape the drama of Siesta Key. New friends invade the scene as love, friendship and fun comes with a cost of heartbreak and betrayal within this newly-minted friend circle.”<\/p>\n
The first ten “Siesta Key” episodes performed modestly from a ratings standpoint. They also failed to generate the pop culture buzz attained by past MTV series like “The Hills” and “Jersey Shore.”<\/p>\n
The show did, however, seem to establish a core audience.
