“American Idol” waved goodbye to a few featured contestants Thursday night, but the second night of the show’s “final judgment” on the top 24 featured no surprises on par with Chris Medina’s surprise Wednesday night cut.<\/p>\n
That meant that featured contestants like Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Thia Megia and Casey Abrams will all be taking the stage for America’s vote next week.<\/p>\n
Unlike in past seasons, there will only be one semifinal round–the males perform on Tuesday, the females perform on Wednesday, and the results are revealed Thursday.<\/p>\n
