Ratings: “Rectify” Season Finale Draws 149,000 Viewers, Trails Last Year’s Mark

Thursday’s “Rectify” season finale trailed the previous season’s closer in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

This week’s episode, which brought the series’ third season to its conclusion, drew a 0.03 adults 18-49 rating with 149,000 total viewers.

The second season finale drew a 0.05 rating with 165,000 viewers on August 21, 2014.

The comparison to last week’s episode is less definitively unfavorable. While the penultimate third season “Rectify” episode drew a slightly stronger 0.04 rating, it only reached an audience of 113,000.

Low by typical cable standards, the “Rectify” audience level is not bad by Sundance standards. Moreover, the series’ ample critical acclaim and buzz provide the network with a valuable branding boost.

As a result, Sundance has already ordered a fourth season.
