Selena Gomez’ “Good For You,” Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” Score Decently with Pop Listeners

Thus far, Selena Gomez’ “Good For You (featuring A$AP Rocky)” and Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” have garnered above average responses from pop radio listeners.

Per the Mediabase/Critical Mass Media national callout report, “Good For You” boasts a net positive reaction of 39.9%. Lambert’s tune holds a net positive score of 39.6%.

Those are the pop format’s the eighth- and ninth-most positive reactions, respectively. A total of thirty four active pop radio songs are ranked in this week’s report; Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” holds the best net positive score (56.7%), while Silento’s “Watch Me” possesses the worst (6.5%).

Both “Good For You” and “Ghost Town” are aided by comparatively low negative scores.

While the Gomez song’s positive score of 61.1% is only the fourteenth-greatest at pop radio, its negative score of 21.2% is the fifth-lowest (or thirtieth-greatest).

Lambert’s tune holds a positive score of only 60.3%; it is pop radio’s nineteenth-greatest. Its negative score of 20.8%, meanwhile, ranks as the format’s fourth-lowest (or thirty first-greatest).

Because “Good For You” possesses a modest 74.1% familiarity rate and “Ghost Town” possesses a low 62.1% familiarity score, each song’s feedback scores could be subject to significant (and potentially negative) adjustments in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, the relatively low familiarity bottlenecks each song’s ability to generate a high favorite score. That constraint will ease in the coming weeks.

As it stands, “Good For You” has a favorite rating of 22.5% (#17 out of 34). “Ghost Town” has a score of 12.3% (#33 out of 34).
