Ratings: HBO’s “Girls” Rises Again, “Togetherness” Falls for Season Finale

For the third consecutive week, HBO’s acclaimed comedy “Girls” delivered improved adults 18-49 and total viewership marks.

The same cannot be said for lead-out “Togetherness.” Sunday’s season one finale suffered losses in both columns.

The aforementioned “Girls” drew a 0.35 adults 18-49 rating with 708,000 viewers. Both figures are up from those of the previous telecast, which drew a 0.33 with 639,000 viewers.

Sunday’s “Togetherness” followed with a deflated 0.14 adults 18-49 rating with 326,000 viewers. Not simply down from the previous episode (0.21, 444,000 viewers), the numbers for Sunday’s “Togetherness” actually trail those of the 2/22 Oscar Night broadcast.

Despite airing against the popular awards show, that night’s “Togetherness” scored a 0.20 with 367,000 viewers.

As far as this Sunday goes, HBO followed its deflated “Togetherness” with “Looking.” The latest episode of the second season comedy drew a 0.10 adults 18-49 rating with 303,000 viewers. It was the second-most watched episode of the season.

Last week’s “Looking” drew a slightly stronger 0.11 adults 18-49 rating but a weaker viewership average of 239,000.
