Britney Spears, The Replacements Appear on “The Tonight Show”

It might have been absent from NBC’s official listings, but the news that Britney Spears was to appear on Tuesday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” was not imprisoned in an airtight box of secrecy.

But in case the story had eluded you: Britney Spears was indeed scheduled for Tuesday’s edition of the iconic late night talk show. And she does indeed appear on the broadcast, which airs on NBC from 11:35-12:35AM ET.

First announced in a press release from her “The Intimate Britney Spears” lingerie line, Spears’ “Tonight Show” visit contributes buzz to an episode that already had a very interesting lineup.

In addition to host Jimmy Fallon’s interviews with Keith Richards and Debra Messing, the episode also features a rare televised performance from alt-rock veterans The Replacements.

Photos from the taping, including Spears’ visit, the Richards and Messing interviews and the performance by The Replacements, follow. Videos of Spears’ “Pros and Cons” segment and The Replacements’ rendition of “Alex Chilton” are also below:
