“Growing Pains” received a considerable amount of opening day support.

Alessia Cara’s “Growing Pains” unsurprisingly had a big opening day at pop radio.

By the end of Friday, “Growing Pains” had received 1,158 pop radio spins. The count positions “Growing Pains” at #37 on Mediabase’s building chart, which ranks songs based on airplay for the first six days of the June 10-16 tracking period.

While “Growing Pains” will not receive nearly as many spins Saturday, it still has a good shot of retaining its Top 40 position through the close of tracking.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Alessia Cara single, “Growing Pains” benefited from hourly airplay at many iHeartMedia stations.

Cara, the reigning Grammy winner for Best New Artist, will perform the song on Monday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
