Foster The People’s alternative crossover “Sit Next To Me” and the new Backstreet Boys single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” reach new peaks on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The former moves into the Top 20, while the latter joins the Top 25.

Up one place, “Sit Next To Me” earns #20 on this week’s chart. It received 4,426 spins during the June 3-9 tracking period, besting last week’s mark by 427 plays.

“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” concurrently rises one place to #25. It posted a tracking period play count of 2,907 (+885).

— A former Top 5 hit at alternative radio, “Sit Next To Me” is also charting prominently (#11) at hot adult contemporary radio.

“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” is #18 on this week’s Hot AC chart.
