Kanye West’s “ye” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

“ye” predictably climbs to #1 on the US iTunes chart.

Unlike the other “New Music Friday” releases, Kanye West’s new “ye” did not launch on the US iTunes store at midnight.

It, instead, emerged later Friday morning.

Within hours of doing so, it reached #1 on the store’s all-genre album sales chart. It holds that position as of press time at 3PM ET.

“ye” seized the throne from Ghost’s “Prequelle,” which had ruled since launching on the store late Thursday/early Friday. That album is now #2 on the chart.

Luke Combs’ new re-issue “This One’s For You Too” follows at #3, ahead of Pusha T’s “Daytona” (#4) and “The Greatest Showman.”
