“Descendants 2” Soundtrack Officially Earns Gold Certification In United States

The second movie soundtrack just crossed the 500,000 unit mark.

Earlier today, Headline Planet broke the news that “It’s Goin’ Down” from “Descendants 2” had been certified gold in the United States.

The overall soundtrack album has also attained gold status.

According to the RIAA, the award was issued on May 21, 2018. It confirms 500,000 in US units, with each unit equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

To date, the album boasts three gold-certified songs: “What’s My Name,” “Ways To Be Wicked,” and the aforementioned “It’s Goin’ Down.”

The original “Descendants” soundtrack also holds a gold certification in the US.
