Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” debuted at #1 on last week’s Billboard Hot 100.

Powered by another week of mammoth streaming and strong sales, it will retain the #1 position on this week’s chart.

Billboard should formally announce the news soon.

In addition to the strong consumption metrics, “This Is America” is quickly taking flight at the urban, pop and rhythmic radio formats.

Not simply Gambino’s first #1 hit, “This Is America” is the artist’s first song to even reach the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Along with confirming “This Is America” as the #1 song, Billboard will soon reveal the entire Top 10. The full Hot 100 chart will be posted later this week.
