Song Selections Revealed For Carrie Underwood Night On “American Idol”

The contestants will also perform songs by Whitney, Jamey Johnson, Beach Boys, Skynyrd and Yolanda Adams.

As confirmed in the closing moments of last week’s episode, this Sunday’s “American Idol” adhere to a Carrie Underwood theme.

The Top 5 contestants received mentorship from the season four “American Idol” winner. They, moreover, will each perform a song from her discography during Sunday’s episode.

The contestants will also perform a second song. Selections come from the discographies of Whitney Houston, Jamey Johnson, Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Yolanda Adams.

Underwood will also be at the show to perform her new single “Cry Pretty.”

Sunday’s “Idol” airs from 8-10PM ET/5-7PM PT on ABC. Ahead of the broadcast, see this week’s song selections:
