RedOne’s enduring “Boom Boom (featuring Daddy Yankee, French Montana & Dinah Jane)” continues to gain traction at pop radio.

Played 211 times during the April 15-21 tracking period (+46 from last week’s count), “Boom Boom” ranks as the Mediabase pop panel’s #62 song. It was #67 last week.

Albuquerque’s Z106.3 remains far and away the song’s biggest supporter. Other key spin contributors include Colorado Springs’ Magic 98.9, Burlington’s 95 Triple X and Las Vegas’ 104.3 NOW.

“Boom Boom” was first released in late 2017. While it has received some sampling at radio since its initial release, it was not until the past few weeks that the song began to mount a truly substantial amount of airplay.

Whether it can continue this momentum — and reach the Top 50, if not Top 40 — remains to be seen.
