Enthusiasm over the collaboration and “on the hour” airplay from key stations combined to produce a big opening day for Sugarland’s “Babe (featuring Taylor Swift).”

The song had received 1,108 country radio spins by the end of Friday — its first full day in the market.

The count positions “Babe” as the thirty-sixth most-played song for the six days between April 15 and 20.

It also guarantees “Babe” a spot on this week’s official Mediabase country radio chart. The listing, which ranks the Top 50 songs at country radio, will be formally published Sunday night.

“Babe” appears on Sugarland’s forthcoming comeback album “Bigger.” Swift wrote the song with Train’s Pat Monahan while developing her 2012 album “Red.”
