Off for the past two weekends, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” returned with an original Saturday.

The broadcast, which featured host Chadwick Boseman and musical guest Cardi B, narrowly outperformed the previous episode.

Citing metered market data, NBC says the episode drew a 4.6 overnight household rating. It drew a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.

The numbers narrowly top the 4.5 household rating and 1.9 demo rating posted by the previous episode, which featured host Bill Hader and musical guest Arcade Fire.

The performance, in fact, ranks as the best since the February 3 installment. Featuring Natalie Portman and musical guest Dua Lipa, that episode drew the same 4.6 household and 2.0 demo marks.
