Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” Headed For Top 5 At Pop Radio

“Never Be The Same” should crack the Top 5 on this week’s pop chart.

Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” rose to #6 on this past week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

It should officially enter the Top 5 on this coming week’s chart.

The “Camila” single received 1,787 spins on Sunday, which marked the first day of the April 1-7 tracking period. Up 10.7% from last Sunday’s count, the tally slots “Never Be The Same” at #5 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Because Sunday airplay can be erratic, it is typically unwise to make any definitive projections about a song’s chart outlook for the entire week.

In this case, however, it appears reasonably safe. “Never Be The Same” faces no clear threat — NF’s building #6 “Let You Down” is falling, while Drake’s building #7 “God’s Plan” is rising at a similar pace and thus unlikely to catch “Never Be The Same” before the chart goes final.

The next Mediabase pop chart will be published this coming Sunday.
