“Whatever It Takes” earns the top spot on the alternative chart.

Imagine Dragons’ multi-format hit “Whatever It Takes” improves to #1 on this week’s Mediabase alternative radio chart.

The song, which was #2 last week, takes #1 on the strength of its ~3,418 tracking period plays (+163).

“Whatever It Takes” seizes the throne from AJR’s “Sober Up (featuring Rivers Cuomo),” which spent a single week at #2. Credited with ~3,188 plays during the March 4-10 tracking period (-115), “Sober Up” takes #2 on this week’s chart.

Portugal. The Man’s “Live In The Moment” holds at #3 with ~3,142 spins (+57), while a spin count of ~2,750 (+69) lifts Foster The People’s “Sit Next To Me” two places to #4.

Up two spots, The Killers’ “Run For Cover” grabs #5 on this week’s listing. It received ~2,513 spins (+107).
