While the RIAA has announced new US song certifications since Grammy weekend, some artists and labels have been sharing such news through their own channels.

One such artist is Jhene Aiko.

In a Saturday night Instagram post, Aiko revealed that her single “While We’re Young” has attained gold status in the United States.

The award confirms 500,000 in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Thanks for listening…it took me like a year or 2 to write a love song cuz i usually be on that emo…but look at God,” wrote Aiko.

“While We’re Young” is the third Aiko song to receive a certification from the RIAA. She also holds a platinum honor for “The Worst” and a gold certification for “Bed Peace.”
