Ratings: FOX’s “9-1-1” Jumps In Week Three

Episode three matched the January 3 premiere in adults 18-49.

Earlier this week, FOX renewed “9-1-1” for a second season.

Based on the numbers for this week’s installment (the third episode), FOX doubtfully regrets its decision.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “9-1-1” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.16 million overall viewers.

The numbers top the 1.5 rating and 5.55 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode.

This week’s demo rating, in fact, matches that drawn by the January 3 premiere (that episode did, however, draw a stronger 6.83 million viewer sum).

“9-1-1” tied ABC’s “Modern Family” as the night’s #1 program in adults 18-49.

— FOX led into “9-1-1” with “The X-Files,” which drew a 1.1 rating and 3.94 million viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 1.0 in the demo and 3.95 million in viewership.
