“Finesse” remains #1 on the all-genre US iTunes sales chart.

Given the names involved, it was no surprise when Bruno Mars’ new remix of “Finesse (featuring Cardi B)” reached #1 on the US iTunes sales chart Thursday.

Some observers may, however, be surprised (or at least impressed) by the fact that “Finesse” is still #1 as of press time at 6:10PM ET Saturday.

Its continued presence at #1 means it has — at least so far — held off competition from a major new release in Justin Timberlake’s “Filthy.”

Released late Thursday night, the lead “Man Of The Woods” single has thus far hit a ceiling at #2. It remains in the runner-up spot as of press time.

Both songs are outselling the #3 song by a considerable margin, although real-time trending data suggests their sales paces are beginning to slow.

— Not simply successful on iTunes, “Finesse” and “Filthy” have made ways on Spotify and at pop radio.

“Finesse” was Saturday’s #2 song on US Spotify; “Filthy” grabbed #7 on the daily listing.

“Filthy” had an absolutely mammoth first day at pop radio, but “Finesse” is certainly no slouch at the format. It should earn a Top 40 position on this week’s airplay chart, which measures spins for the December 31-January 6 tracking period.

The two songs are also receiving support at other formats of radio. “Filthy” is firmly on the map at hot adult contemporary, while “Finesse” is set to chart at rhythmic.
