The Voice’s Addison Agen Claims #1 On iTunes After Finale; Chloe, Red, Brooke Also In Top 10 (Update)

Addison Agen has three songs in the Top 10 on iTunes. Chloe Kohanski and Brooke Simpson each have two.

Update 3: Red Marlow’s “I Pray” and Chloe Kohanski’s “Wish I Didn’t Love You” each spent time at #1 following Monday’s “The Voice” performance finale.

But when the 12PM ET voting deadline arrived, it was Addison Agen’s original song “Tennessee Rain” in the pinnacle position on iTunes.

The Kohanski and Marlow songs followed at #2 and #3, respectively. Brooke Simpson’s cover of “O Holy Night” directly followed at #4.

Three of the finalists had a second solo song in the Top 10. Agen’s “Humble And Kind” was #5, while Kohanski’s “Bette Davis Eyes” was #7. Brooke Simpson’s “What Is Beautiful” followed at #8.

Red Marlow’s “To Make You Feel My Love” was in the Top 10 for much of the morning, but it fell to #11 right before the deadline.

Agen and Adam Levine’s “Falling Slowly” entered the Top 10, but the belief is that coach duets do not count toward the iTunes vote.

By virtue of their Top 10 placements, the aforementioned seven solo songs will receive 5x multipliers on their iTunes vote/download totals.

Set to be revealed during tonight’s two-hour finale, the results tabulation will account for this week’s iTunes downloads, as well as votes from the other media.

It will also include “cumulative iTunes and Apple Music” votes for previous recordings.

2) Chloe Kohanski – Team Blake – Wish I Didn’t Love You

4) Brooke Simpson – Team Miley – O Holy Night

As for iTunes, here is how the performances were positioned at the voting deadline:

Update 2: Red Marlow’s original single “I Pray” shot to #1 on the US iTunes store shortly after Monday’s “The Voice” performance finale.

About an hour later, Chloe Kohanski’s original “Wish I Didn’t Love You” took over the top spot.

Tuesday morning, there was yet another changing of the guard.

Addison Agen’s original song “Tennessee Rain” is now leading the pack. Kohanski’s song is #2, while Marlow’s recording is #3.

Fellow finalist Brooke Simpson directly follows at #4 with her rendition of “O Holy Night.”

Each finalist also has a second recording in the Top 10: Agen is #5 with “Humble And Kind,” Kohanski is #6 with “Bette Davis Eyes,” Simpson is #8 with “What Is Beautiful,” and Marlow is #10 with “To Make You Feel My Love.”

None of the coach duets are currently in the Top 10, but the belief (this year’s rule document is ambiguous) is that they are ineligible for the iTunes vote anyway.

Eligible songs that hold Top 10 positions at the 12PM ET voting deadline will receive 5x multipliers on their iTunes vote/download totals.

In addition to this week’s iTunes downloads and votes from other sources, the final results tabulation will account for cumulative iTunes and Apple Music consumption for past songs. The cumulative voting window, which opened on November 20, closed earlier this morning.

Well, that certainly did not take long!

By 10:30PM ET, a whopping five songs from Monday’s “The Voice” performance finale had entered the Top 10 on US iTunes.

Red Marlow’s original single “I Pray,” in fact, already occupies #1 on the all-genre song sales chart. “I Pray” is the first Red Marlow song to reach #1 this season.

Chloe Kohanski’s original cut “Wish I Didn’t Love You” directly follows at #2, while Brooke Simpson’s original “What Is Beautiful” follows at #6.

Marlow’s cover of “To Make You Feel My Love” and Simpson’s rendition of “O Holy Night” follow at #8 and #9, respectively.

Fourth finalist Addison Agen does not yet have a song in the Top 10, but she could get there soon. Her version of “Humble And Kind” is #11.

Solo songs that hold Top 10 positions at the 12PM ET (Tuesday afternoon) voting deadline will receive 5x multipliers on their iTunes vote/download totals. While this year’s rule sheet is unusually ambiguous, coach duets have historically been ineligible for iTunes votes and bonuses.
