Sam Smith’s “The Thrill Of It All” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

Albums by Maroon 5, Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton and Grace VanderWaal follow in the Top 5.

Sam Smith’s eagerly anticipated sophomore album “The Thrill Of It All” launched on the US iTunes store late Thursday night.

It unsurprisingly rocked to #1 on the store’s album sales chart. It remains there as of press time at 2:25AM ET.

Several other high-profile new releases also hold prominent spots on the chart. Maroon 5’s new “Red Pill Blues” is #2, while Kelsea Ballerini’s “Unapologetically” is positioned at #3.

Blake Shelton’s “Texoma Shore” and Grace VanderWaal’s “Just The Beginning” follow at #4 and #5, respectively.

Kid Rock’s new “Sweet Southern Sugar” (#6), Chris Brown’s recently released “Heartbreak On A Full Moon” (#7), Joji’s new “In Tongues” EP (#8), Lee Brice’s new “Lee Brice” (#9) and Kelly Clarkson’s recently released “Meaning Of Life” form the balance of the Top 10.
