Ratings: Viewership Falls For Episode Two Of MTV’s “TRL” Reboot

Monday’s premiere drew a small audience. Tuesday’s “TRL” drew an even smaller one.

After posting disappointing numbers for Monday’s premiere, MTV’s “TRL” reboot drew an even smaller audience for episode two.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “TRL” drew a paltry 0.07 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 135,000 overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 0.10 adults 18-49 rating and 166,000 viewer mark drawn by Monday’s opener.

“TRL” is airing in an era of depressed TV ratings, runs in the afternoon and features “web stars” as its principals. Huge live+same-day TV ratings were never in the cards.

It is hard to imagine anyone, however, thinking viewership would be this low.
