LCD Soundsystem’s “American Dream” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

“American Dream” predictably rockets to #1 on iTunes.

“American Dream,” the first LCD Soundsystem album since 2010, debuted on the US iTunes store late Thursday night.

It quickly rocketed to the top of the store’s album sales chart.

“American Dream” is #1 on the listing as of 1:40AM ET Friday morning.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Luv Is Rage 2” follows at #2, while XXXTentacion’s “17” holds the #3 position. Queens Of The Stone Age’s “Villains” (#4) and Old Dominion’s “Happy Endings” (#5) complete the Top 5.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 2” is #6, while The Script’s new “Freedom Child” occupies the #7. Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” (#8), The War On Drugs’ “A Deeper Understanding” (#9) and the “Descendants 2” soundtrack (#10) form the balance of the Top 10.
