“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” Earns #1 At US Weekend Box Office; “Logan Lucky” Debuts At #3

The weekend’s big new releases debut at #1 and #3, respectively.

“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” predictably earns #1 on the US weekend box office chart.

The new release will earn an estimated $21.6 million by the end of Sunday, which will be enough for a clear victory.

“Annabelle: Creation,” which falls to #2 this week, will add about $15.5 million to its haul. Its cumulative total now stands at $64.0 million.

New release “Logan Lucky” takes #3 with $8.0 million. “Dunkirk” falls two spots to #4 with $6.7 million (cume now $165.5 million).

Set to post $5.1 million in second weekend receipts (cume now $17.7 million), “The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature” falls two places to #5.
