Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” claims #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Up one place from last week’s position, “There’s Nothing” seizes the throne from Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber).”

“There’s Nothing” received ~18,224 spins during the August 6-12 tracking week (+474). “Despacito,” which earns #2 on this week’s chart, received ~17,665 (-250).

“There’s Nothing” follows “Stitches” in becoming the artist’s second pop radio #1.

Up one place, Charlie Puth’s “Attention” grabs #3 on this week’s pop chart. It received ~16,669 tracking week spins (+2,062).

Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” falls one spot to #4 with ~16,003 (+809), while DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts (featuring Rihanna & Bryson Tiller)” rises one spot to #5 with ~12,925 tracking period plays (+1,441).
