HBO’s “Ballers” Renewed For Season 4; “Insecure” Earns Season 3 Pickup

HBO predictably renewed its Sunday night comedies.

HBO’s “Ballers” and “Insecure,” which are three episodes into their current seasons, just earned renewals for next year.

The renewals call for a fourth season of “Ballers” and third season of “Insecure.”

Neither renewal comes as a surprise.

Aided by lead-in support from “Game Of Thrones,” both shows are enjoying sizable year-over-year viewership gains. “Ballers” also features a high-profile cast and crew with which HBO surely wants to continue doing business, while “Insecure” garners buzz in critical communities.

“We’re thrilled that the summer lineup of BALLERS and INSECURE connected with our viewers out of the gate,” said HBO’s Amy Gravitt. “We’re so proud to work with Dwayne, Issa and all of the amazing talent in both shows.”
