The RIAA confirms that Sheeran’s Grammy-winning smash went 9x platinum on June 20, 2017.

The award confirms 9 million in US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

A multi-format #1 at radio, “Thinking Out Loud” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It meanwhile won Grammy awards for Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
