“Something Just Like This” Reaches 3x Platinum In Australia, “Despacito” Certified 2x Platinum

Two high-profile collaborations earned new multi-platinum certifications in Australia.

The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” and Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” just earned new multi-platinum awards in Australia.

According to ARIA, “Something Just Like This” received a 3x platinum certification this week. “Despacito” earned a 2x platinum award.

The honors confirm 210,000 and 140,000 in Australian units, respectively.

“Something Just Like This” peaked at #2 on the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart. “Despacito” is currently enjoying a fifth straight week at #1.
