Earlier this year, Katy Perry’s “Chained To The Rhythm (featuring Skip Marley)” debuted at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This week, follow-up single “Bon Appetit (featuring Migos)” debuts decidedly lower.
The new song starts at #76 on the listing. The position is based on the song’s first full week of sales, streams and radio airplay.
Given the lofty expectations that surround new Katy Perry music, the song’s early activity was very disappointing. It did not even temporarily reach the Top 10 on the US iTunes sales chart, and it performed softly on Spotify. Its early radio support is definitely nothing about which to write home.
