As anticipation heightens for Halsey’s sophomore album “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” confirmation comes that a single from her debut album “Badlands” just went platinum in the US.

According to the RIAA, Halsey’s “Colors” went platinum on April 17, 2017.

The certification confirms 1 million US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Colors” follows “New Americana” in becoming the second “Badlands” single (and second solo Halsey single) to go platinum.

Halsey is also a featured artist on The Chainsmokers’ 7x platinum “Closer.”
