Update: Gorillaz’ “Humanz” has received upgraded US sales and consumption projections.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album is now on track to sell 100-105,000 pure US copies during the April 28-May 4 tracking week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption total of 115-120,000.

The sales total should be enough for #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales. “Humanz” will meanwhile take #2 on the Billboard 200.

Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.,” which is tracking for 160-170,000 in weekly consumption, will retain the #1 spot on the latter chart.

Gorillaz’ new album “Humanz” is poised to top this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales chart. It should earn #2 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

Based on early sales data, Hits Daily Double projects an opening week pure US sales figure of 85-90,000. The tally should be enough for a comfortable #1 bow on Top Album Sales.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Humanz” should generate 95-100,000 in first-week US consumption. Such a figure would likely earn “Humanz” #2 on the Billboard 200; fueled by its mammoth streaming numbers, Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” should be able to retain the throne.

— In terms of newcomers, this week’s next-best performer will be Mary J. Blige’s “Strength Of A Woman.” The album is on track for 63-68,000 pure sales and 67-72,000 units.
