Like they do at pop radio, Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” and Charlie Puth’s “Attention” enter the Top 40 at hot adult contemporary.

Lady Gaga’s “The Cure” and Paramore’s “Hard Times” also reach the format’s Top 40 this week.

Played 471 times during the April 23-29 tracking week (+423), “There’s Nothing” earns #33 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart. It was below last week’s chart at #64.

Up thirty-six places, “Attention” takes #34 on the strength of 470 spins (+435).

“The Cure,” which was #48 last week, improves to #35 this week. It received 445 tracking period plays (+292).

Credited with 388 spins (+316), Paramore’s “Hard Times” joins the Top 40 at #38. It was #56 last week.
