Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” will arrive late Wednesday/early Thursday and go for immediate airplay.

Shawn Mendes just announced that his new single “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” will arrive at midnight ET on April 20 (late Wednesday/early Thursday).

Shortly after issuing his announcement, Republic confirmed that the single will be made available for immediate airplay.

The first adds will be reported in conjunction with the April 25 pop radio add board (its “impact date”).

“There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” will serve as the follow-up to Mendes’ Top 10 pop radio hit “Mercy.”
