Julia Michaels’ Debut Single “Issues” Receives Platinum Certification In US

Julia Michaels’ “Issues” needed just three months to reach the platinum threshold in the United States.

Monday afternoon, Billboard revealed that Julia Michaels’ “Issues” reached a new peak of #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Tuesday morning, Republic confirmed that the single has been certified platinum in the United States.

The platinum certification confirms at least 1 million US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Republic adds that “Issues” has already crossed 2 million units on a global basis.

“Issues” premiered on January 13, 2017 as Michaels’ debut radio single. It is inside the Top 15 at pop radio and Top 20 at hot adult contemporary.
