There is some notable movement in the Top 5 of this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

That movement does not, however, concern the #1 and #2 positions.

Marking its eighth week on top, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” retains #1. It received ~7,533 spins during the April 9-15 tracking week.

While the count trails last week’s mark by 82 plays, it keeps Sheeran’s smash more than 2000 spins ahead of its closest competition.

Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy,” again the #2 song, received ~5,521 tracking week spins (+191).

The change begins at #3. Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” which was #8 last week, earns that spot this week. It garnered ~5,105 spins during the official tracking period (+500).

Up three places, James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” makes its first Top 5 appearance at #4. It posted a tracking period spin count of ~5,046 (+336).

Credited with ~4,968 plays (+115), Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons” ticks up one spot to #5.
