Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times” Reportedly Pacing For ~140K US Sales

Harry Styles [ABC]

Based on early data, Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times” is on track to sell roughly 140,000 US copies during its first week of release.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, “Sign Of The Times” is expected to generate 190-210,000 “song project” units during the April 7-13 tracking week.

The “song project” total is the sum of paid US downloads and on-demand US audio streams/150. “Sign Of The Times” is tracking for approximately 8-10 million streams, or 60,000 streaming units under the “song project” methodology.

The remaining 130-150,000 would come from pure sales (if we expand the range to account for the high and low ends of the streaming projection, we would get 124-157K).

A bow in the 140,000 range would position “Sign Of The Times” as the week’s #1 seller.

To date, ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” has posted the best first-week sales figure for a One Direction original’s debut solo single. It sold 267,000 US copies in its initial frame.
