Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” Reaches 3x Platinum In UK; Major Lazer, Coldplay 2x

Three singles received multi-platinum certifications in the United Kingdom this week.

According to the BPI, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” ascended to triple platinum. Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” went double platinum.

The 3x and 2x platinum honors respectively confirm 1.8 million and 1.2 million in UK units.

“Shape Of You” is the reigning #1 song in the UK. “Cold Water” and “Paradise” also hit #1 on the listing.
