First Look: Rihanna Appears As Marion Crane On “Bates Motel”

Rihanna [A&E]

Last year, A&E announced that Rihanna would be appearing in season five of “Bates Motel.” The international superstar was to play the iconic role of Marion Crane.

Crane, for those unaware, is the woman in the famous shower scene in “Psycho,” the film to which “Bates Motel” is connected.

After several months of hype and anticipation, Rihanna is finally set to make her first “Bates Motel” appearance.

She debuts in the March 20 episode, which is entitled “Dreams Die First.”

“Norman tries to piece together Mother’s movements,” says the A&E synopsis. “In Seattle, Dylan and Emma confront an ugly truth; Sam’s girlfriend, Marion, makes an impulsive decision with far-reaching consequences.”

Signposted by its title, Rihanna also appears in the March 27 “Marion” edition of “Bates Motel.”

Ahead of the episode, A&E shared four photos of Rihanna as the iconic Marion Crane. The first two look to be from the March 20 episode, while the latter two are from the March 20 broadcast.
