The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” Heading Top 5 At Pop Radio

The Chainsmokers [Brian Friedman for iHeartMedia]

The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” is set to claim a Top 5 position on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Paris” received 6,952 spins during the first four days of the March 4-11 tracking week. Up 4.3% from the count at the same time last week, the tally positions “Paris” at #5 on Mediabase’s building chart.

“Paris” faces no imminent threat from below and should thus have no trouble retaining its Top 5 position through the close of tracking.

“Paris” is the follow-up to The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” which spent a record-tying ten weeks at #1 on Mediabase’s pop airplay chart. Its continued success comes even as another Chainsmokers single — the Coldplay collaboration “Something Just Like This” — takes flight.

“Something Just Like This” has a shot at the Top 20 on this week’s chart.
