Update: Four days after performing with Classroom Instruments, Ed Sheeran returned to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for a more conventional performance.

Sheeran again performed “Shape Of You,” the smash hit single from his newly released “Divide” album.

Monday night, Ed Sheeran joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a “Classroom Instruments” performance on “The Tonight Show.”

Friday night, he delivers a more conventional performance on the Fallon-hosted late night show.

The performance coincides with the release of Sheeran’s third album “Divide.” The album is expected to debut as a convincing #1 in the US, UK and many other international markets.

Friday’s “Tonight Show” also features appearances by Samuel L. Jackson and Dakota Fanning.
