Leon Bridges’ “River” Enjoys Huge Sales Gain Following “Big Little Lies”

Leon Bridges’ “River” was featured prominently during Sunday’s edition of “Big Little Lies.”

Aided by that exposure, “River” is enjoying huge gains in sales and Shazams.

Columbia’s radio team notes that the song is up by 8000% in US digital sales this week; it could end up with a weekly sales total of 15,000.

It has meanwhile generated 40,000 weekly Shazams, 12,300 of which came on Monday. It is one of the most-Shazamed songs in several major US markets.

“River” appears on Bridges’ Grammy-nominated 2015 debut album “Coming Home.”
