Update: It’s official: Future’s “Future” debuts at #1 on Top Album Sales and the Billboard 200.
According to Billboard, “Future” sold 60K pure US copies during its first week of release. The figure positions the album as a convincing #1 on Top Album Sales.
With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, its first-week consumption total registers as 140K. The figure earns “Future” the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.
The album is the fourth straight (and fourth total) #1 for Future, who also topped the Billboard 200 with “Evol,” the Drake collaboration “What A Time To Be Alive,” and “DS2.” Future is expected to score a fifth straight #1 this coming week, as his new “HNDRXX” is pacing well ahead of the pack.
He will support his new music with a performance on the March 2 “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
As for this week’s Billboard 200, Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” takes #2 with 59K units. “Fifty Shades Darker” (#3, 53K), The Weeknd’s “Starboy” (#4, 50K) and Migos’ “Culture” (#5, 50K) complete the Top 5.

While Billboard has not yet announced the official numbers, Epic Records is already celebrating another #1 for Future.
In a Friday morning press release, the label says that Future’s self-titled album will claim #1 on this week’s Billboard 200 consumption chart. The debut will mark the fourth straight #1 debut for Future (with the Drake collaboration “What A Time To Be Alive” included).
Epic Records hopes that Future’s “HNDRXX,” which dropped today, will be his fifth straight #1. Early tracking points to that hope being fulfilled.
In conjunction with its announcement, Epic revealed that Future will be performing on the March 2 “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
