Halsey earned a myriad of RIAA single certifications in 2016.

She earned another one this week.

On February 7, 2017, Halsey received a gold certification for her 2014 song “Hurricane.” The certification confirms 500,000 in US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Hurricane” is Halsey’s seventh solo single to receive a certification from the RIAA. She is also featured on The Chainsmokers’ quadruple-platinum smash “Closer” and Justin Bieber’s gold-certified “The Feeling.”
