“Boo! A Madea Halloween” Stays #1 As “Inferno” Disappoints At Box Office

“Inferno” delivered a disappointing performance at the US weekend box office, allowing “Boo! A Madea Halloween” to retain its throne.

Per studio estimates, “Boo” will gross approximately $16.7 million this weekend (cume now $52.0 million). Ahead of the modest $15.0 million expected of “Inferno,” the gross will keep “Boo” at #1 on the US chart. “Inferno” starts at #2.

Credited with $9.6 million (cume now $39.7 million), “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” falls one spot to #3. “The Accountant” holds at #4 with $8.5 million (cume now $61.3 million), while “Ouija: Origin Of Evil” drops two spots to #5. It earned $7.1 million this weekend (cume now $24.6 million).
