Breaking: “Million Reasons,” Not “A-YO,” Will Be Lady Gaga’s Next Single

Those who supported the “#MillionReasonsNextSingle” hashtag have gotten their wish.

Interscope confirms that “Million Reasons” — not “A-YO” — will serve as Lady Gaga’s next radio single.

The news comes days after Interscope not only announced “A-YO” as an official radio single but purchased ads on music industry websites trumpeting the news.

“Million Reasons” has, however, been more clearly clicking with fans. It is currently #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.

Unable to ignore the buzz and favorable metrics, Interscope opted to move forward with “Million Reasons” as the next single. “A-YO” may still receive a radio campaign down the road, but “Million Reasons” takes over as the current priority for Gaga and Team Interscope.

The song, which appears on Gaga’s recently released “Joanne,” is the official radio follow-up to “Perfect Illusion.”
