NBC’s 2016 live musical “Hairspray Live!” does not air until December, but the network has already confirmed its 2017 production.

NBC confirms “Bye Bye Birdie Live!” as its next live musical.

Harvey Fierstein will adapt the book for television, while Jennifer Lopez will executive produce alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Craig Zedon, and Neil Meron.

Lopez will also star in the iconic role of Rosie.

“Broadway musicals and films fueled my childhood and ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ was one of my favorites,” said Lopez. “I’m proud to be a part of the NBC family with ‘Shades of Blue’ and I thought it would be a blast to take on one of their big live musicals.”

“Bye Bye Birdie Live” will air in late 2017.
